COURSE PORTFOLIO

SECOND YEAR NURSING

 

 

STUDENT EVALUATION

 

Gross Anatomy, Histology and Embryology are offered as one subject. The total mark: 100

There will be one quiz, mid-semester examination and a final examination at the end of the course.

 QUIZ

The result of the examination cover 10% of the total mark.

 MID-TERM EXAMINATION

This examination is based upon ONE answer type multiple choice questions and short essay questions.

The result of this examination covers 30% of the total mark.

 FINAL EXAMINATION

This examination has a theoretical and a practical component. Both share 60% of the total mark.

Theoretical Component: This consists of multiple choice questions and short essay questions from the whole syllabus. The result of this examination covers 50% of the total mark.

Practical Component: This examination includes bones, specimens for gross anatomy, histology slides and Embryology models. The result of this examination covers 10% of the total mark.

 

 FINAL EVALUATION

The student must score at least 60 % of the total mark.

  

GRADE KEY

A-  Excellent               (85% - 100%)

B- Very Good            (75% - 84.99%)  

C-  Good                    ( 65% - 74.99%)

D-  Satisfactory         (60% - 64.99%)

F-   Fail                       (less than 60%)

 

 

Expectations from Students

  • They must develop an attitude to learn

  • Behave well during teaching

  • Must dress according to Islamic and Country Norms

  • Must involve themselves in all academic activities

 

Student Responsibilities to the Course

  • Must be regular in lectures and practicals

  • Be punctual and attentive during learning sessions

  • Attendance must be 95% and in case of leave must have written proof for their absence

 

Expectations for each assignment and project

  • Must be up to the satisfaction of the teachers and the academic policy laid down in the syllabus

  • Should be completed in the specified time

 

Important rules of academic conduct

  • Should follow the general policy of the University

  • Never ever try to cheat in the exam.

  • Must be conscious of attendance in the learning sessions

 

Lab Plan and assignments

  • Must be regularly submitting the Anatomy and Histology Note Books to the teachers

  • Must follow the instructions of the teachers and remove and mistakes when indicated
