1. Spermatogenesis Objectives After this session, the student should be able to: § Understand the process of the mitotic division § Know the different types of meiotic division § Understand the process of the spermatogenesis

2. Oogenesis Objectives After this session, the student should be able to: § Understand the morphological changes of the oocytes during prenatal maturation. § Know the morphological changes of the oocytes during postnatal maturation. § Know the abnormalities of the spermatogenesis and oogenesis. Lecture § Maturation of the oocytes before birth § Maturation of the oocytes after puberty § Abnormal gametes
3. Ovarian & uterine cycles Objectives After this session, the student should be able to: § Know the hormonal control of the ovarian cycle § Understand the process of ovulation § Know the factors responsible for oocyte transport Lecture § The effect of the gonadotropin releasing hormone produced by hypothalamus on the cells of the anterior pituitary gland § The effect of F.S.H. and L.H. on the cyclic changes in the ovary § Formation of corpus luteum and corpus albicans § Factors responsible for the oocyte transport into the uterine tube.
