SECOND YEAR MEDICINE COURSE PORTFOLIO INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE PORTFOLIO
This Course Portfolio provides students and the Faculty a clear description of the courses, their contents, and the sequence of their implementation. It mentions the level of achievement, students are expected to attain. Evaluation procedures and grading scores are also described.
Mixing of male and female students is not allowed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; consequently, they are taught separately by male and female staff respectively. Under this situation, the course guide is useful in directing both staff and students to the expected level of achievements and is an attempt to keep a balance and an equilibrium in academic attainments for two different groups of students, taught by separate staff.
Course objectives for different areas of Gross Anatomy, Histology and Embryology are described in different sections of the guide, the-course contents, lectures, dissection sessions and practical classes, presented in a proper sequence, coordinating with Department of Physiology.
